Barry Rogers "The Terror of Trombones" passed away on April 18, 1991, in New York City (Polish Jewish Descendant). Trombonist and Arranger. Played with many including: Orquesta La Perfecta de Eddie Palmieri, Las Estrellas de Fania, Sexteto La Playa, Las Estrellas de Alegre, Joe Cotto, Mon Rivera, Jimmy Sabater, Orquesta Broadway, Tico-Alegre All Stars, and Orquesta de Bobby Valentín, etc.

They don't mention at what time band would start. Does that mean that it's obvious? Or impossible to predict? Or doesn't matter? They mention time for variety show.
Or would band play all the time with some breaks, so if you hang out there long enough you'll hear everything?

Also what kind of venue was it? From movies I imagine casinos and all kinds of debauchery, but I was not even born then, so what do I know .

The advertisement states from 10pm to 7am. It's a good bet that Joe Cuba Sextet came on around 12 midnight-12:30am or so. With the TP Orchestra around 2:30am-3am.
