London people...

I view ILILT and SOS as complementary, rather than competitors, and I'd like to think that a lot of London-based dancers feel the same way.

The main reason for my response was the above comment. It goes back to my main point that not everybody has the time, energy or budget to go every salsa event in London. So in this situation, the events are competitors and not complementary at all, and not everybody feels its a good thing having back to back events like this targeting essentially the same crowd of dancers.

I realize this is an older thread but has a few recent comments which I noted about the venues and events mentioned (Tito’s, El Grande). Does anyone have any updated recommendations for best places to dance in London for serious dancers (not party/club people) for either cuban or crossbody salsa with intermediate and advanced level dancers?

For crossbody, I'd say Salsa on Sunday (SOS) at the Cecil Sharpe House in Camden. At least twice a month, but it is worth going on Facebook to get the schedule. Pexava is the other one, held twice month, roughly, on the last Thursday of the month, plus one Saturday. This is at Conway Hall in Holborn, central London. Again, it's worth going onto their website for dates.

For Cuban, either Salsa Fusion or El Grande will be your best bets, though as I don't dance cuban, I defer to others who are more knowledgeable.

I've posted last month a list of links on the London social life that you can look through if you want additional information:
