Writing a novel including salsa

I guess they could be transgender latinos. Maybe that would work while the hormone treatments have not reached full effect.
And I'm sure you know there are certain streets in Cali where one can encounter gangs like that. My First time in cali I met two American guys who were mugged by them

I 'm from Europe, so no, I do not know any Latinos personally, but I 've watched many movies and series.
There are many many latinos in Europe. There are many in Italy, Spain and France. Back in the day Spain allowed citizens of their former colonies to enter visa free* so many South Americans moved to Spain to work and some moved from Spain to other EU countries to get better jobs once they had legal papers.
If one goes to salsa venues in many parts of Europe, there will be Cubans for sure if it is a Cuban salsa venue. Also these days, Venezuelans and Nicaraguans fleeing the dire conditions there go to Europe as it is easier to get in than it is to get to Canada or the US.

When we were in Madrid in September 2021 I was surprised how easy it was to understand the Spanish accents people were speaking. Then my wife (from Cali Colombia) explained "He is from Ecuador" "She is from somewhere in Central America" "They are Colombian... Venezuelan etc" and then it made sense that I had no trouble with their accents.

*They may still allow this for elder care workers as Spain does not have very good assisted living facilities. I know several Colombians who left and went to Spain to work as live-in elder care workers.

Haha actually I do not frequent streets where there are a lot of muggings in Cali. OTOH, I would have thought that Medellin is more gay/transgender friendly so I am surprised the guys were looking for that kind of action in Cali.

I hope they used the right pronouns whilst they were handing over their valuables.

First of all, my characters are NOT transgender, I have nothing against that people, but that is ABSOLUTELY NOT my cup of tea and I don't write such themes. They are true men who love their job. Workaholics, one could say, but I mean... How could you even think something like that?

That's for the best, as if you ever meet any Colombians in real life they will have nothing whatsoever in common with your perception of them.

I would like to meet real Colombians or any Latinos for that matter, but I can't travel because I can't afford it.

My characters are not from Cali or Medellín, but Meta-Guaviare region and surroundings. I do have some idea about a drug lord from Antioquia, the new cocaine king, but I have to come up with something taking place in Cali.

PLEASE DON' EVER SAY SOMETHING LILE THAT ABOUT MY CHARACTERS. They are hot as **** Latino papis, it is absurd to call them trans. I would never ever write something like that, it is not my theme, for goodness's sake no no no. If I wanted to write about women, I would 've done so, but I wanted to make a completely male story. In fact, I already had made one and it worked out really well. I need edit it a bit and change some things, but if anyone wants to read it, they can send me an e-mail on:

actually it was just an unfortunately placed hostel up near la Sexta and the guys were just wandering down the road looking for a place to have a beer or something. as the story goes, when these characters showed up one of the guys just took off running leaving his mate behind who just froze, the poor guy who froze got relieved of his wallet. Needless to say I moved hostel the next morning
