I am listening right now jlop's "On The Floor"
This is my discovery of a year, but I still have not figured out the song. Glad to hear you like it.![]()
Yeah I love the song... Do you mean you dont understand what the lyrics are implying?
From what I understand Hector Lavoe is singing to Mark Dimond the pianist. He's telling him he should have been more careful .The cops are looking for him because of his drug use.
I really enjoyed the song, too. I agree that Héctor is talking to Mark, but my take on the song is that the police is looking for him because he's a "bolitero", a person that takes bets for an illegal lottery game called "El juego de la bolita" (In Puerto Rico). However, it's possible that my interpretation is too literal... Mr. Afinque, do you have additional info on the song's backstory. Thanks.
Lucky you!Listening to Van Van's Maquinaría CD to get ready for tonight's concert!
Bach - Partita No. 3
I just finally discovered who recorded my favorite version of the partitas, the one I've had on cassette for over twenty-five years: Christiane Jaccottet. (And I'm not remotely a big classical music fan, but this performance really kills me.)
Okay, a little off topic, but uh, Tiempo Libre recorded some Bach covers, so. . .
