The best Puerto Rican salsa tracks - your suggestions please

I think an argument can be made for a difference in sound and feel between the bands from New York and the bands from Puerto Rico in the 70's and 80's. I'm generalizing, but NYC bands had a harder aggressive sound and the PR bands were a bit more smooth and refined -- the really good bands all swung like crazy. There were more non-Puerto Rican ( and non-Latino ) musicians on the scene in New York which also had an effect ( eg, Barry Rogers, Larry Harlow, Lewis Kahn among countless others ).

Absolutely love the Salsa music of Puerto Rico!

Looking for more recommendations of bands and tracks to listen to.

I feel I've been in the Timba wasteland too long. LOL.

I'll start:

Post your favourite tracks.

If there's a thread already existing, post links to that.
For clarification, are you distinguishing from music made in Puerto Rico vs. NYC?

Definitely, but lets just enjoy the music. :)

Anyone who wishes to can google the band/singer/leader etc and get further info. e.g. for Louie Ramirez: http://www.descarga.com/cgi-bin/db/archives/Profile37

Hum! for a while I thought I was back at my local social with all the 'familiar' songs. Please don't take this the wrong way, I love all the songs listed here, but it seems that the above songs are a tad overplayed! :p

These couple of tracks are way underplayed IMO and are as good!

Heard this one live at the Puerto Rico congress this year and loved it, especially the more explosive part starting at 3:50, which gave me musicgasms at the concert :) I'll post my recording.
