London people...

Look for a tall skinny black guy with a black cap, light blue jeans and a white t-shirt with a pair of headphones on it. Ask him to dance if ya brave enough! j/k I can behave, it's just hard to do it for a whole song. ;)

Ahhh.. spring is on the horizon and ya came outa hibernation !!:D

Thank you for the info! I will come to the class, it is a good idea, and start from there. It looks like a good place, better that Salsa!
You answered all the questions I had. I will try not to be shy and ask for a dance, and yes, I will avoid any guy that wears a shiny shirt! (do some guys really wear that???)
Thank you again!!

There is an older guy in a shiny shirt. He will repeatedly dip you and throw you about. You'd be best to avoid.......:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Thanks for your advice guys. I went to SOS last night and had a blast! It was a very good idea to go to the class first, although it became very noisy, with four teachers talking at the same time. Flujo, I did not see you, maybe next week? ;-)

There are also quite a few party nights coming up this week. Check out www.londonsalsaevents.com. Pexava on Thursday is definitely worth going to.

I'm currently in London for some meetings. I hope to be able to get to SoS tonight (might end up having to go for some project dinner instead though) - if I have to go directly from the meeting to SoS, is there any staffed cloak room where I can leave my bag?

Also, if I can't manage to get to SoS tonight, any other venues/events/parties that you would recommend on Monday-Wednesday nights? Bar Salsa? Something else?

Monday: Bar Salsa.
Tuesday: Boston (Tufnell Park) if you dance on2.
Wednesday: I tend to go to Bar Salsa for convenience, but I think there's also Incognito's night in Hammersmith.
See londonsalsa.co.uk.

If you dont dance on2, they simply kill you. Or at least cut your feet.

Or if you don't already dance on2, or want to revise some basics, you could do the TNT foundation class (open to all) and then a partnerwork class. Toan's foundation class is great, and then his improver class is fab too - I'm enjoying them both a lot.

Thornado, sorry I missed you at SOS as I couldn't make it out. But if you come to TNT on Tuesday would be great to dance :)
