Willito Otero improvising like a veteran

This was produced about 10 years ago. Willito Otero does about 4 minutes of improvising near the end, (that must be a record). He literally carries the tune with master sonero Herman Olivera by his side. Not sure if anyone ever saw this video but I find it truly amazing.

 
You are right, this is an amazing show man, a shame no many people know about this kind of things. The debut album of Willito Otero (Que comience la funcion) is very good. He's got a great future ahead in salsa music. Will become well known if he promotes the right way. Thanks for posting this and helping people to appreciate it.
 
Based on this 10 year old appearance I really thought he had potential to be a sonero on the ranks of Hector Lavoe. He has gained some recognition and I just got word the he will de the opening act at the "Dia Nacional De La Salsa" in Puerto Rico this year. He also appeared on a Banco Popular video a few years ago. And has sung with Bobby Valentin, Pete Perignon and Charlie Aponte among other greats. A also heard he was once a possible replacement for Charlie Aponte. Here is the Perignon video.
