Which threads I'm boycotting?

A well boiled egg requires good timing.

Good timing is needed depending on whether you want a soft-boiled egg, with slightly runny yoke... or a hard boiled egg, with a hard solid yoke. Take your pick.

I prefer mine scrambled.

There is a thread I was so successfully boycotting, but I feel myself getting sucked in to the pointless argument of dooooooom. Must do some work instead :D

Wish I could boycott the Technique vs Musicality/Sabor thread, but it's like watching a slow motion train wreck, I can't take my eyes away.

If you are a good salsa student, then you will read it with care, as it is aimed at helping the students. ;)

Whoops, I was boycotting this thread, as well!!!!

I've read it. A couple of pages or people stating their personal preferences, and 50+ pages of people trying to prove their personal preferences are better than anyone else's.

In any forum you are going to have discussions and even arguments. The 'personal preferences' as you put it, are nothing but opinions. As the reader you will have to deduce whose opinion is educated and whose is just an opinion based on the 'norm' they have been exposed to.

Furthermore, the thread in question has lots of interesting dance video clips, not to mention that of various internviews where some famous names comment on the over spinners and turners. The appearance of that video did actually make a few people go quite. The thread also contains some interesting (for those who are interested) historical information.

Damn, I again forgot that I was boycotting this thread!!!

Dating latin dancer.

for some reason I've not fancied latinos in my scene. my attention was mostly on eastern europeans :)

Need to listen to million songs to be able to express musicality in your dancing?

whats the point of this question? if people will answer no, will you stop listening to music?

No worries - I have plenty of lesson plans about prepositions if you want them :) Learn your phrasal verbs (two part verbs, e.g. drop off, pick up, put out...) which will help out.

Talking to a friend of mine who attended NY school system, she claims they were never formally taught prepositions, articles, active-passive, direct-indirect, etc. No formal grammar course or testing in their English curriculum. Since each school district (i.e. a town/city) is autonomous in USA, I don't know if it is the same everywhere else in the country. I was surprised.

I will boycott any thread that the subject has had already been posted on an old thread. that's why I BUMP the threads. people sometimes (& I say sometimes) are so lazy, they post the same thread or the same subject that many of SF'ers have already writen about.

See I'm a re-poster and personally I don't like to see ppl going "just go read THIS old thread". It's not a wiki it's a forum and for me it's about the ppl not the facts. That said, my posting rate fell away after 4 years or so because most threads I know how they're going to go from the title :-)

But newbies should be engaged to keep new blood coming into the forum. Without that the forum will just become a clique like the good dancers who gather round the air-con and won't let anyone in their inner sanctum*

*this is usually an illusion IMO, as discussed on several threads in the past**

** see what I did there?
