Where to dance in Los Cristianos, Tenerife?

I will go to Tenerife during Christmas and I wonder where to dance salsa there. :D I think that I will stay close to Los Cristianos, Playa de las americas and Fanabe. :P

Please help! :D

I'm not entirely sure whether you'll find much in the southern part of the island.
Generally speaking the north is where the native Canarians live and it's they that are the salsa lovers. Most of the specialist Salsa clubs and bars are in the North, most around the capital Santa Cruz, whilst the South of the island is very much full of the new beer-swilling British and German colonies. A very one-dimensional tourist spot.
But it's only a very small isalnd and well worth the small trip along the motorway to Santa Cruz.
See this thread for a club recommendation ...

... We had to drive 45 minutes to get there. I'm guessing you might need an hour or more but I still recommend it. I might be wrong but I doubt you'll find anything nearby.
In general I recommend you spend as much time as possible away from Los Cristianos and the south coast if you actually want to experience Tenerife, the Canarian people and some of the isalnd's culture.
I fell in love with the north of the island in the two weeks I spent there and have pretty firm plans to move there in the next few years, but my one trip to Los Gigantes was enough to put me off the south for good.

Me will be there also :-) - in Adeje and with a rental car. Ive heard, that in the south is not that much. People recommended me a place in Santa Cruz. Any recommendations here?

Thank you miércoles! :) I will not be able to go North because I'm traveling together with my family. We are only there for vacation and do not focus on culture and such. We have seen that before. ;) Anyhow, I found a place called La Habana social club and another one called El Caribe that are situated south, and I will ask for where I can find them when I get to Tenerife. :P

That's great. Enjoy the time anyway. The weather alone is incredible in Las Canarias. I'm quite envious. It's -7°C outside just now. BRRRRR!

Me too - problem is, which is the place to be at what day ...

Hi Sia. The only othe place I tried was the Azúcar in Puerto. It's more just your usual Spanish dance bar, i.e. no real dance floor but an area in a room adjoining the main bar area where people dance. It was OK. Nowhere near as friendly as the TB but the other few dancers did all dance en línea.
One big minus point was the fact that the speakers for the sound system were in the main bar area and the dancing goes on in the adjoining room, meaning you could here the music better in the area reserved for sitting down for a drink and a chat.
Not a proper specialist dance club but fine if you happen to be in Puerto and don't feel like travelling. And, with it being "just a dance bar", it's open pretty much every night I believe.

Me and my friends are planning to go to spain this January. We would love to see some nice beaches with clear water and some stunning scenery. We were thinking Majorca,Ibiza and Canary Island, we are up to some adventures and experience a great nightlife in our travel. I came across this great article too canaryislandsinfo.co.uk/lanzarote/things-to-do/timanfaya-national-park/ here in but i wanted to hear your thoughts first. Can anyone suggest any ideas or tips? Any help is kindly appreciated :)
