By the way, Jambo will tell you that I monitor this site during the show and if I know that you're listening I'll send you some "shout outs" over the air. That goes for anyone I know to be listening!

I can confirm that :D

If I'm understanding this time differential correctly, you are 8 hours ahead of me. So, my show starts at 2:00am Thursday morning, your time.

I'm pretty sure that's correct, but I could be wrong.

I'm listening to some new stuff that I just received from a Colombian promoter, now living in Germany. He asked me to listen to it and play it on the show if I like it. These artists come from different places. I told him that I'd be glad to play the songs that I like.

He sent all of the following songs. A really like a few of them:

Pa'l sapo - Javier Plaza y su Orquesta Sonrisa (Germany)
Se nos muere el Caribe - Javier Plaza y su Orquesta Sonrisa (Germany)
Le patina - Javier Plaza y su Orquesta Sonrisa (Germany)
Parece pero no lo es - Obbini Tumbao (New York)
Dile que sí - Tempo Forte (France)
El perro - Deldongo (France)
Bailadora - Conjunto Massalia (France)
Canción para papá - Ileana Santamaría (Cuba)*
Nadie como tú - Ileana Santamaría (Cuba)*
Los pollos - Rumba Calzada (Canada)
Cinco de la mañana - Rumba Calzada (Canada)

* Ileana Santamaría is Mongo Santamaria's daughter.

After finishing the review of 2006, I'll be playing those that I like.

Has anyone else heard any of these songs?

I'm listening to Campana mayoral by Iván Cáceres y su Bongolandia. Luisito Carrión is the singer. It's truly hot!

Also, there's another track on that CD called Vous le vous dancer with the chorus and a few other lyrics in French. Luisito Carrión also sings in that song.

I'm listening to Campana mayoral by Iván Cáceres y su Bongolandia again!

Really good stuff!

bobby

I'm listening to the Music DVD of Bobby Valentin: Vuelve a la Carcel.

Awesome DVD that has an all-star orquestra!

Makes me dance everytime.

I was able to convert the DVD music into Soundtracks to import into my iPod.

Yeah, I also love Bobby Valentin!

When I think of him, the first song that comes to mind is Pirata de la mar.

Pégame tu vicio

I'm listening to Johnny Ray's Salsa version of Wilfredo Varga's smooth Merengue tune Pégame tu vicio. Didn't think I'd like it at first, but it turns out to be very, very nice!
