Ukraine situation and this site

I've had four programmers working for me who live in Ukraine. They have worked for me for over 10 years. One is in Luhansk, one is Kherson, one in Lviv and one in a small town south of Lviv. They are all worried and trying to make their best plans. And all four of them at some point have touched this website and have been the main support for you over the years. If anyone would be interested in helping them, I would send the money directly to them to help them do things like secure transportation or fuel or food. So I will invite you right now to make a direct donation. You can send it to my PayPal at [email protected]
I also can take credit cards.

Aside from that, I'm sure they appreciate your prayers and support. And sorry to ask you for a donation. But I'm just thinking of everything I can do to help them.

Just spent 400 on my car and am strapped. I will try soon

Since yesterday, we have raised a little more than $800. One donation was $500. Still accepting donations, and I know it will help them a lot during this time of need. One of them may need to cross the border into Poland which I know is scary for him and his family right now.

I hope he can. I just heard on the news that men between 16 and 60 are not allowed to leave the country as they are called to fight. It's all so wrong!

Some people have relocated to Poland and maybe some other places too. This includes men. But mostly people are staying and fighting and it looks like they're putting up an amazing resistance to the Russian troops. But what I care about most is that the people that have worked for me for 10 or 15 years are safe and I appreciate everyone's support.

Thank you for the donations. We are up to about $900 now. I just heard from the one programmer that had been silent for 3 days. His name is Alex. He is in Kherson, where there has been a lot of fighting. He has been helping to get people to the hospital, and helping to evacuate people. If you feel you want to help, I'm able to get the money directly to some of the people who need help.

I believe that MoneyGram and Western Union are still working. We also can do direct bank transfer. And if all that doesn't work, one has a mother in italy, another can drive to Moldova within about 1 hour. I've been getting the money to them every month for more than 10 years. We will find a way.

Okay, I woke up this morning and I see we have passed $1,000 to send to Ukraine. In addition, if anyone needs a website built or an app created, they are a great team with 15+ years of experience. Now is a great time to plan to do business with Ukraine!

I decided to play it safe and donated to Catholic Relief Services, but I wish your colleagues all the best. 7-8 years ago I worked w/ some IT developers based in Kharkiv. Super smart, nice, hardworking people they were. This situation sucks - Putin is not a salsero.
