Things I never do on the dance floor

3. Walk a follow to her seat
Its not about walking a follow to her seat, its more like not leaving her on the dance floor so you can be off to the next one. It just nice to accompany her off the floor. If one of you gets grabbed in the process fine..its the effort that I know most girls like. But maybe not where you are. But remember not every scene is the same and manners and chivalry still go a long way:)

Be heavy handed
Be oblivious to incoming dangers
Be non-sexy
Walk on to dance floor without holding hands
Say nothing at beginning of encounter

Use the follow as a battering ram to clear a bigger space for my fancy moves (have seen this and have had it happen to me).

Earlier tonight I used myself coming around the corner of a whip to battering ram some guys that were just standing on the dancefloor out of the way. It was a small and very crowded dancefloor, and the space those guys were occupying could have accommodated 4 dancers, and I wanted to do some fun Lindy Hop moves.

I'll throw myself into harms way, or use my follow to fill empty voids in the dancefloor to claim more territory for myself, but I won't put my follow into a situation to get bumped into.

Not sure why people are against dipping on the dance floor. Like anything it's a skill and important to learn how to do properly. One day you may be required to dip in a performance and you'll have no clue.

Also, dipping is actually fun, for both the lead and follow. The trick is to dip properly. Learn how to do it properly, don't avoid it all together.

I'm honestly really baffled by people's dislike and avoidance of dips at all costs.
