Abayarde did a Puerto Rico Special in November last year on Salsa De La Mata with songs on Puerto Rico which was pretty awesome and I still listen to it regularly. Love those pulsing rhythms.

Great song of La Sonora Ponceña. That performance is from Colombia with excellent Colombian musicians. For me, the definitive live version is from the Ponceña 50 anniversary concert when Luisito reunited to perform Yare. Awesome trumpet solo from guest artist Luis Aquino ( one of the very best trumpet players from Puerto Rico ).Careful!!! hope your're not stirring up another hornet's nest...should'nt that be AFRO-CUBAN music with a Puerto Rican tinge!!! (Just kidding Azzey). I like this one:

Here's "Déjame Soñar" by Tito Puente & Tony Vega which was also in that set. Pretty neat to see the Eddie Torres Dancers in action.

I hope so cause my last post was from those glory days!!! The majority of the musicians then were Puerto Rican or Puerto Rican Americans.
