What have been the most inspiring, most constructive single lessons/workshops you've have attended?
I'm thinking about teaching and what would make the best lessons. I think the best way to really improve dancing is to follow a progressive course from a good teacher, and practicing those lessons in socials or by yourself. But some lessons from workshops have really upped my game as far as social dancing is concerned.
For some more famous examples; SuperMario usually mentions a few unwritten rules of partnering. Stuff like "hip connection arms up, shoulder connection arms down."
Talal usually focus their workshops on building connection and creating a pleasant, elegant dance.
Marie Cazorla (of AlegriaDC) often mentions the responsiblities of a good follow.
Rodolfo Navarrete usually focuses on one concept and lets it show up in the routine in a few different forms. Allowing the attendees to start mastering a concept.
