Son songs that switch to a slower tempo

This starts out as a rather uptempo son (guaracha?), then drops tempo heavily after about a minute for the rest of the song (son-chá maybe that part?). I count roughly 180bpm to 120bpm for the drop.

This felt a bit unusual but familiar. The only recent song I can think of right now is

Havana d'Primera - Bicho malo (2023)


The drop (around 1:40) is a bit less pronounced there.

Is this more widespread? Any other instances?
 
Yeah I think it happens on other songs, the only example I can quickly reach is Tiki Taka by el Noro. The drop is perhaps a bit less pronounced at 1m40ish, I haven't measured the bpm
