Social dancing in Brighton & Hove

I've been scouring Google, and finding a lot of lessons and a couple of 'latin dancing' nights, but can't find any club night that sounds like it would have a social focus. Any suggestions? I'm here for this week only...

I dance from time to time with a girl who is a student at Brighton, and she recommended Karma bar, and they have a salsa night on Tuesday (you would have to check). Seems to be a heavy Cuban salsa scene in Brighton...

Thanks. Slightly wary of the 'best in Bachata, Cuban and L.A Salsa, Reggaeton & everything in between!' line, which in my experience means wall to wall reggaeton.

Someone mentioned http://www.oceanaclubs.com/brighton/event/82167/salsa-brighton-%26-lf-fiesta, which is closer to me, but sounds still less salsaey - though I'm not quite sure from the text if LF Fiesta and New York Disco are two different rooms, which might mean one's a bit more dancer-friendly. Did she ever mention it?

From the sound of things you have lots of salsa nights, clubs and classes in Brighton. I think you will find a lot going on, so just go out there and try out some events and see what you think. If you dance Cuban style I don't think there will be a problem.... at all.

I've met Leo Henriquez who teaches a lot round that way. He has a real passion for the music and the dance, so I expect that any of his nights should be good. Let us know how you find it.
