smothing out hip movement

How do you smooth out hip movement? I've done body isolations and have decent movement, but it still looks choppy when I step. I don't have that fluidity that I'm looking for. I roll out from big toe to heel but it still looks jerky. Does it take a while to get that down or am I missing something?

are you making sure that you are not moving your hips but rather you are letting the transmission of the motion of your feet and knees to make the hips to roll

Yep. Making sure all motion originates from my feet. What's crazy is that my right hip moves fine...nice and softly, but my left is still a bit jerky. I also have a harder time rolling properly through my left foot.

I am thinking then, it is a matter of practice, since you seem to be capable to do it with one hip, then the other one just needs to catch up ( i have the same problem with my left shoulder and its getting better as I have continue to practice) , however I do think you will be best serve if you go to an experienced instructor just in case and have her/him take a look at it, good practice will make you better, just "practice" can simple cement bad technique
