Shocking find...

Salsabor!

Changui
I went out for a walk today and visited one of those 99 cent stores for a look at what they had and found a shocking thing. I found in the $.99 CD bin Tommy Olivencia's album Ayer, Hoy, Manana y Siempre.

I was shocked to find this out of print CD at a $.99 store. I quickly grabbed it and purchased it. What an album!

Here is the track listing:

1) Por Ella
2) Fiesta De Besos
3) Periquito Pin-Pin
4) Yo Si Vivo Bien
5) El Del Tabacon (En Cuba No Falta Nada)
6) Dicelo A El
7) Chiki-Chiki
8 ) Con La Musica A Otro Lado

Hector Tricoche and Paquito Junior Acosta on Vocals

Just goes to show you you'll never know what you'll find at a $.99 store.

Definitely your lucky day!!!

I was lucky too, two months ago, in finding his first album, La Nueva Sensacion Musical In Puerto Rico, in a small records shop in the Bronx...

Mambo Italiano that album is truly rare. Actually, I noticed that all of Tommy Olivencia's albums are hard to find now a days whether on Vinyl or CD. I have alot of Olivencia on CD and I've had to got scurrying around to find them whether on ebay or at the few mom and pop record shops left.

I hope Tommy Olivencia gets the respect he deserves for his legacy in Salsa.
