SF Shines Compilation Part 2

Congratulation everybody! Flujo, great job! I love your style. :D

New moves for me to work on:
1. Sweavo's slippers move - very cool :D
2. Flujo's disco grooving that unfortunately didn't make it to the final version but believe me: very cool!
3. opm and piel's sink-and-smile-to-the-camera move

Good job, everybody! :D

I second that! Good job, you guys! You all look fabulous! :)
btw, i didnt overlook your last post. so you ARE signed up for the next one. :D

:P I dont know whyyyyyy he took that out!!!!
(oh wait, maybe it was because i cracked a lighthearted joke on him about it and that perhaps drove him to having second thoughts? i dunno for sure, but sowwwwy if that was the case.)

anywho, its not really fair to comment on what cant be seen anymore, so lets try and focus just on the wonderful compilation we've got now. link again....

Enjoy, People!:bouncy::banana: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLaC5vgQhAw :banana::bouncy:

got opm showing up the girls w/ his shoulder shimmy

I'm not sure I'll ever be good enough to show you up brownskin...you guys were awesome, playful and cute...

I <3 Flujo's style big time! Some people you can tell, can just dance flat out.

Sweavo needs to teach me his ways. He's mastered the technique of looking pro, even while looking like a slacker.

Oooooo, how cool was that!! Brilliant dancing, brilliant editing and brilliant tea drinking. I love it :applause: :applause: :applause: Well done everyone :D

After watching it I got the urge to start making musical jewellery boxes with a tiny little wind-up smiling28 doll inside instead of a ballerina, I think I'd sell loads of em :D

Right, now I'm off to catch up with all these pages of posts I've missed.

i nominate jambo and offbeat to be the coordinators
whateva.gif

Eh? What? Doesn't that involve doing something?

Awesome to the power of awesome!!!

Loved the editing.
Loved Sweavo’s robe.
Loved it all.

Well done to everyone involved – this has made my week.

Hee hee thanks! I think the key is to be too dumb to realise that this might be terrible until you've sent the video off!

You and pielcanela really inspired me with your flava and your ... I don't know the word, you just both sorta owned what you were doing. I'm hoping I'll get a little of that rub off on me on my NYC trip in Sept.

Then there's the contrast in style with bolivicanowhose reserved style is utterly different but groovy and musical.

Loved brownskin818 & blkgitana's segment ... so silly ... I thought they did a great interpretation of the music --- I could feel a slight ribbing about my song choice but the moves were perfect for it!

Meh... I could go on ... please don't be offended those I left out, I didn't intend to write a whole video review here!

But the main thing for me is what mangomotion said: ... how you could see the different ways each person felt the music... beautiful!

so you ARE signed up for the next one. :D
Yes, are you?? ;)

Disco dancing? Oh boy. That dancing was done to Goza. The disco music was put in later (same as Mac's meditation and smiling's sneeze) but I took it out cos people didn't realise it was a p*ss take. The trick is to really believe in your character! That way it looks authentic and that is something sweavo has down pat! Classic mate, absolutely classic.

LOVING the feedback we're getting for this!!! Putting a smile on peoples faces is what it's all about! :D

ROFL.

haha! I didn't realize the others were also dubbed. Probably better just to do that to segments the audience has already seen -- that way they can tell it's an editor's joke rather than just an account of what happened.

:) too kind

Eh? What? :nope: :nope: :nope:

See, thing is.....my dancing style is more suited to radio than video ;)
I call bull@#?%. A certain person is trying to hide her style and grace.

omp1s6: thanks for the compliment. The <3 does sort of resemble something us lads usually keep tucked away but I guess that has nothing to do with it at all. hehehe
Note to self: *take head out of gutter and curb the foul language*

2nd that!

I loved Sweavo, he is just too cool, he can scratch his head, put on a sleeping robe, drink his tea, and burst into shines. I loved it!! .He has redefine cool in my vocabulary.

opm, he has been a revelation to me, he is getting better and better on body movement and feeling the music, check out at 0.52 ( face, left hand, chest, right shoulder) damm!

Those 3 seconds are one of the best examples of feeling the music i have ever seen. Not fabricated, genuine, heartfelt, it draws yours eyes to him. You can see he is enjoying the move, on his own terms. ( I had to put my hand on my computer screen so i wouldn’t see him, so i could check out what the heck I did :) ), I am inspired. (I request a private please on that move)

Brownskin818, ah that girl, she just has the coolest and musical moves.

Everyone else great job, it was so touching to see people from all over the world, coming together and doing this. I used to fret about coming out with cool moves, but now i am realizing that this is not about the moves but about the fact that we are doing this together, being ourselves and enjoying the passion that unite us

This video was BRILLIANT. Well done to everyone involved...

Piel Canela - I'm likely to steal - sorry, be inspired by some of your footwork for our class's christmas demo show.

Brownskin, wonderful funny and irreverent.

Sweavo, well what can I say - you know he comes to socials round here in his dressing gown and holding that mug? It's all a cry for attention.

Salsagypsy - loved her section, so much feeling and passion.

Mac is as cool and slinky as ever.

And Smiling28 is so small he can dance in a matchbox!
