Sex Love & Salsa

It was showing one day, last Thursday, in Oakland. The director was there to talk about the film. I asked if he had shown it in New York and he said that he had shown it in a film festival there. He is an independent filmmaker just starting to get this film distributed. The film has a facebook page. Maybe the schedule is there.

It is an interesting film. I liked it but it wasn't quite what I expected. It was promoted in San Francisco through Facebook and there was a respectable showing of our local salsa community.
 
Ive seen it yesterday in Zurich, same concept I guess. with the filmmaker attending and asnwering questions... At the beginning they organised a crash curs for salsa, and after the movie there was a live band and some dancing.
The movie was way to to long. Some People walked out of the Movie, some could not cope with the generall style ( blurry,Handheld cam) I also thought it was bothering...almost gave me a headache at the beginning.

Would not watch it again, but as a whole the experience was nice
 
There is actually not that much salsa in the movie. The trailer more or less shows most of the salsa related scenes already. The soundtrack is nice.. it started with a motorcycle ride to the song merecumbe,it kinda fit
