Great song. As a matter of fact, I really miss "el charangueo" in today's Salsa. Even in Cuba everybody is playing everything, but Charanga. At least, Van Van from time to time incorporates some of it's elements with their violins.

I guess Charanga was cursed by the media since the cold war. Talking about Mambo, Rumba, Comparsa and Charanga was mostly related with Cuba and then "banned". After this, they referred to it as "Salsa" and "Tropical Music".

I voted "Like" last week but didn't comment.... a very nice track with lots of swing. Yeah, I like the strings and charanga feel. The lead vocalist has a very traditional style. A fun tune!

Not my cup of tea to be honest. I thought it was ok, but I don't see myself jamming to this track. I do like charanga though, especially Ray Barretto's stuff on "El Ray Criollo."

I like the top end - classic charanga, performed very nicely. However the percussion sounds too looped for my tastes (or maybe that's just the intro and outro). Nonetheless, I would try playing it whilst DJing (although not for a hardcore audience), and I would certainly dance to it. I think a lot of other people would dance to it too, due to its 'feelgood' sound.

The strings and vocals are really good!

Yes DJ Alex Guttierrez created an Intro and out for it. Thanks a lot for your insight on the song.
