I quit my job because all I was doing was watching salsa vids on youtube and practicing moves and spins in the bathroom. Really, they should have fired me.

Now I got a new job which pays better, but it carries into the evening on weeknights which means I only get my salsa fix on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This depresses me.

I spend all my money on salsa congresses, instructional DVDs, and lessons.

I think that the dance is the only stable thing in my life. Maybe if I get good enough, someday I can be an instructor or something - or scrub toilets in a dance studio or something. I don't know.

It's actually a really good change, but the only thing is that sometimes I do get depressed if I don't go out dancing, or if I don't get time to practice spins or moves, or if I miss a really cool congress.

Salsa is a wonderful thing to have in your life. However if your life is not enough without it, it will never be enough with it.

Getting depressed if you dance only three days a week? wow....

You have to look at the way salsa enhances your enjoyment of everyday life, not make salsa your whole life.
Ask yourself: Why did I start dancing in the first place? Was it to replace evrething else in my life? I think not.
Whatever the reason was, you have forgoten it or have let it take a bigger part of your being than it should.
Take a little step back and put it all in proportion: What do you really want to get out of dancing?

Hope you find a good reason to keep on dancing and to enjoy the rest of your everyday existence.

Hello, I was just reading your post and I can only image the heart wretching feeling that you must endure on a daily basis.

Maybe you can put together a Salsa fitness program and present it to your local fitness center. It will take up the little free time you have now but, the end result could be well worth the sacrifice.

Doing what you love to do and making a living while doing it.

Or, you could play the lottery. :D
