Why San Francisco clubs, bars suddenly smell different

San Francisco's DIY promoters are working with perfumers and artists to design custom scents for their parties.

Saw this in my news feed today. I quit the party scene two decades back so no idea what’s going on in the SF club scene.

May be something for salsa festivals to borrow a page from what would be salsa scents?

My vote is odorless. I smell enough perfume, cologne, body sprays, hair sprays, shampoo, and BO that adding anything on top of that would be overkill. Being able to identify people by their smell is already overstimulation without artificially creating more .

Interesting, I never smell anything from followers. Except years ago those red-haired followers in my local scene which probably used henna and brought me near to puking. Another reason to stop kizomba back then.

Really..? At the end of a typical dance night, my hand has like 5 different perfumes mixed together. It's excessively aromatic.
