Hahahaha

Better get ready for when I go to Paris again, you'll need to continue the story

Saw videos of me from the other night. Still an ugly "bounce" on 4 and 8 when I dance. Thought I got rid of it. Still have dangly arm that i thought I got rid of.
I had to get rid of the kicks and taps. And my shimmies are more like jiggles atm.Have you tried adding styling to emphasize and make the bounce your own unique flair? Or do something new to replace the bounce?

Or improvements and setbacks are too gradual to notice.Still working on dangly arms myself. I am not quite as surprised when I watch myself on video and see little to no improvements. The curse of being your own harshest critic I suppose.
So... bachata has taken over slasa because its "easier","slower", has more "connection" and is so "romantic".
The obvious solution is a salsa romantics scene.
In what sense is it more fashionable? It's overtaken salsa because it's more fashionable.
True, but from what I have understood they rarely even play Romeo Santos in many European bachata scenes? I think @Chris_Yannick has pointed it out for example that they play more bachata remixes than Romeo Santos.I know teenage/twenty something reggaeton fans who also love Romeo Santos,
I am one of those who prefer salsa dura. La Maxima 79 is played quite often on the weekly event I go to and it's always gets the dance floor packed. In the last event they also played a Salsaton, which cleared the dancefloor quite fast.To be fair though, the Cuban salsa scene is still packing people in. In my experience, many dancers on the Cuban scene actually prefer dancing to PR and S American salsa (who can blame them).
