I was at TB Latin Club (Av. de Anaga, Santa Cruz de Tenerife) this summer and it was great. Very friendly staff, good relaxed atmosphere. Free entry (but drinks quite expensive) and a mix of salsa (50%), merengue (15%), bachata (15%) and reggaeton (20%).
There were predominantly Cuban style dancers at the club when we were there but the salsa music wasn't all timba by any means.

Hi Tenerife Salsa lovers!!!
I know a good place where you can dance salsa!!! It's in Tenerife south, it's called Rincon el Caribe and it is located in Playa de Las Americas, en el cientro comercial Pueblo Canario a la segunda planta. It' near to the casino.
I know they make salsa lessons on tuesday and thursday from 19:30 to 22:30 and on saturday ther's always a latin party, this saturday for example it's bachata party. I go there every saturday because they always put latin music on that day and depending on the night they focus more on bachata or salsa or merengue or kizomba. It's the perfect place for people who love latin music.
It's a great place also during the day.. They have a breathtaking view on the sea and on the other side a really cute square.
You can add them on facebook to have all the details about their parties. The profile name is Nuevo Rincon el Caribe.
I used to go there even with the past management but this one is much better.. Prices are lower cocktails are better and the guys are much nicer!!
