Salsa in Malaga???

From sept. 15th till okt. 8th I'm staying in Malaga (South Spain).
It's the country of the Flamenco. But does anyone know if there is any salsa there or in the surroundings??

I know that one friend of mine is currently spending his holiday in Malaga. If I'm not mistaken there's salsa there, but I don't know for sure or have the details. But I think he's coming back around mid august and I ask him for you, if nobody else answers before.
 
Hey, i was in Malaga before..there is salsa there. I went to a place near malaga called el picaro de la habana (good dancers, inside a mall (plaza mayor), right outside malaga).. also ranchon cubano (cool outdoor place by the beach..not in Malaga, but a drive away near Marbella (that's where we stayed)) .. let me see if i can dig up some websites..

Since my friend is back from his holiday in malaga, I asked him about recommendations to dance salsa. Here are his suggestions:

Sat: Candela in El Palo, Calle/Aveninda Juan Sebastian Eleano

Wed/Fr: R'n'Beach in El Palo, Calle Bolivia ca. 145

Daily: El Picaro del Habana near the cathedral

He recommended going to the last two places for dancing salsa. So hope you have some nice time there and report how it was.
