RIP Terence Levine

Was he already posting on here back then? What sort of venue was it?
Well I started this in 2002 and I think he would have been in Atlanta around that time. I remember seeing him at a place called Sanctuary and possibly also another club called Havana nights. Both were Latin dance clubs. He was also known for his Ballroom dancing. I had worked for a studio owner who he had taught previously and she had told me a few things about him.

@hyh: do you have a better quality version of this?

The video files are available in my google drive:
There are 19 non-rotated original files and 3 edited files with rotations. Original files have marginally better image and audio quality. Rotating the image is easy - use QuickTime Player.

EXIF says filming was done with Kodak CX7530 Zoom digital camera.

My condolences to Terence's family and friends.

I recently received a "nudge" to visit Salsa Forums again (I used to post very frequently), although I'm sorry that this was one of the first threads I saw. :(

I remember Terence as having very strong opinions about dance and, regardless of whether I agreed, I sincerely appreciated his desire to share the knowledge that he had accumulated over the decades. I also felt honored on a couple of instances when Terence gave me compliments about my dancing when it appeared in various videos. :)

Thank you very much for making these available!

I've been away from the forums for a long time and to be honest, completely forgot about them. I just happened upon this place again by accident today.

But this is sad 'news'. To me Terence and the forum will always be linked in mind. It sounds like he truly did live a full life and, regardless of how he may have come across at times, he truly was a marvel of knowledge.
I'm glad to have had the chance to benefit a bit from his presence here. May he rest in peace.

Terrence and I had a zoom meeting a couple years ago where he helped me distinguish different genres of music. Through some coincidence I learned his birthday, and I messaged him on his birthday the following year, which impressed him. I wanted to follow up with more questions but ... time ran out.

Did you ever record the meeting?
