RIP DJ Yuca

So sorry to hear the sad news of DJ Yuca's passing.
I wasn't aware of his health problems - very sad to hear that another SalsaForums stalwart has passed away (like Terence and Azzey).
As @Chris_Yannick said, "The way he talked about Salsa like it was the most important thing in the world is so admirable" - the Salsa community worldwide is poorer for his loss.
RIP Yuca

why am i only noticing this thread now?

im devastated to hear this news. never expected this.
I always had plenty of time for David, enjoyed his contributions to the forum,
he liked to be a bit provocative at times which I think forums need

I met him in colombia and went out dancing and got to know eachother fairly well.
I am glad he got to live out his dream of leaving the UK and travelling Latin America and being immersed in Salsa

RIP Yuca

I'm so sorry to hear this too. While I didn't know him very well it sounds like an important influence on people and will be missed. And I'm happy to see so many people coming and honoring him here

I was just curious if he ever published any playlists or anything like that where we can see what he used to like to listen to. I've been working on the music section a little and I thought it would be kind of cool to put together his playlist and make it available for people to listen to if such a thing exists

In some of the salsa music threads he sometimes posted music or commented on tracks he liked.

If you check the ‘best slow salsa songs’ thread one of the last comments is from him saying there are a lot of good songs that have been posted and he needs to work through them..
