I really wanted to go to this event, but I had a lot going on and had to miss it. How were things? Details!
The release was so much fun!! It was amazing to me to know all the hard work that Ana & Joel (and company) put into this event and to then see it all come together. Not only did Joel write all the music...he played piano throughout the production (with the rest of the band)...danced one number...Ana danced throughout to the live music in several of the numbers with their dance company...and they both choreographed the whole thing! It's never been done before and they did an amazing job! It was a theater experience to be remembered!!! The story line of the "play" was great...Lee from Houston and Marshal from Bermuda were hillarious additions! Quite a few people came in from out of town (there was even a large group from Canada!), so I had a blast catching up with friends I hadn't seen in about a year. The afterparty was so PACKED it was hard to find space to dance on the floor and it continued on through Saturday's White Party. Check out the pics on the nuevotec page. I know they took video as well, Allantab will have to answer as far as what they are doing with it....not sure if a DVD is being made, or if it's going to be posted on the website.
I believe...and DO NOT quote me on this hehe...that Masacote will be doing the production again at some point. Not sure if it will be the entire thing or parts of it, and don't know if it will be traveling...but I'm guessing many of you will have another opportunity to catch itin the future. And I highly recommend it!
Kamari, you did a great job with the promotions for the event!
Aww thanksIt was so great to see so many non-salsa people at the event too!
And just you all wait...new Flava Invasion IV news coming soon...you are all gonna be sick of me LOL!
