Rejection Sensitivity

Hmm possibly rough, off time, or otherwise unpleasant lead?

Smiling off the dance floor just means she is pleasant/friendly/recognizes you. Does not imply a desire to dance.

I would stop asking her. But you might want to ask for some honest feedback from a follower you trust.
Haha, I saw her at the dance club tonight. I ended up dancing right next to her once, and after that, we just looked at each other, looked away, and walked off. Lol, kind of like a silent mutual agreement.

I’ve been dancing for years now. If my lead were unpleasant, someone would’ve told me by now, trust me, not all of them are shy.

Why so many London people travel abroad only to dance with exactly the same group

Reminds me of a clip I saw recently where a couple got a lot of compliments on a social dance at B2M in Prague. Funny thing is, I see these same two dancing dancing weekly on videos in London.

Yeah. Sont get me wrong. I' do get asked a lot. I am from a small city, and I am am fairly popular (I hate to use the word) in a few towns in a 400 km radius. But they are still small scenes.
Even in havana I get asked a fair amount (except the swedes)..
But toronto or at congresses.. nope. Well. Not top dancers. I have had ah!t experiences with dj both dancers, both dancing and non dancing. That's why I harbor such (justified) vitriol. And it is almost exclusively that subset that i get attitude from.

Toronto seems extremely friendly for followers. I was there earlier this year and again this week. I had no trouble getting asked to dance. Ratio seemed balanced and the leaders were very willing to take a chance on a new face.

Also, la mirada totally works. I tried it on two guys. It was a bit weird trying to make eye contact with a stranger and I didn't think I had connected with either of them. But both came over and invited me after a couple of songs.
