Has anyone heard the Bachata version of Shakira/Alejandro Sanz's "La tortura?

It's by Davicito Paredes and it's very hot! Bachata lovers will really enjoy it. It's coming up!

Is that the one that was just on? I liked it :D Can you point me in the right direction regarding album and possibly where I can buy it from.

Well.....any other comments out there? Don't worry, I'm of thick-skin. Any comments/suggestion would be well appreciated.

Thanks, Jambo!

Yeah, Ricardo Lemvo has some good stuff out there. I really loved his version of "Mambo yoyo."

That Salsatón tune that I'll be playing, "Mi Puertorro" by Andy Montañez ft. Julio Voltio, is excellent! They really did a great job with it! I'm not a huge fan of Salsatón, but if they can continue to put them out like that one, I predict some longevity with that 'hybrid' genre.

That's another good one :) I also like 'Africa Havana Paris' - lovely song.

That's good to hear, but after I'm done reviewing 2006 I'll have to come up with enough music that you don't have to keep you listening! ;)

Greetings Salseros,

This is the last opportunity before I get to the studio to remind you to listen to the show today. Remember, we're still reviewing Salsa of 2006.

Let me know you're listening and I'll send you a special shoot-out.

Regards,
El Caobo

For those of you still a bit confused by the time differential, the show will be starting in 13 minutes from the time this message is posted.

Sorry everybody!

Building management suddenly came into the station and told me that the building was closing and that I had to leave. I've been there 3 years and usually when the building closes, arrangements have been made so that I can stay and check out with the security personnel.

Obviously, there was a disconnect somewhere. I've already tried to contact the station manager....got voice-mail. I'll work on getting the situation resolved for next week. The building is going to be completely closed through January 1st, so they need to get something done fast!

Keep your fingers crossed.

El Caobo
