Props to you, Caobo! Your shows are energetic. I can tell that you really love the music and that you have spent a lot of time learning how to make your shows flow. Your shows do not sound like college radio! They sound like a very professional commercial radio station. My hat goes off to you, hermano! Keep up the good work! You should be on commercial radio, but then you would probably have to play the same tired rotations that they play. If you could play like you play now, you'd be great!!!!

In terms of commercial radio, the problem in the United States is that salsa does not get much exposure. When reggaetón was very popular, for charting purposes, there was a new category called Urban Latino; which included reggaetón and Latin hip-hop. Before then, reggaetón was considered as part of the Tropical category. Now that reggaetón has lost much of its influence and appeal, it has now once again been thrown into the Tropical category.

What has been the result of this? Well, if we look at the billboard charts for the only category that carries salsa; the Tropical category, we find that there is very little salsa! He are the top 20 songs that are on the billboard charts as of today:

Vivir sin ti - Gilberto Santa Rosa
Bachata en Fukuoka - Juan Luis Guerra Y 440
Te pido perdón - Tito "El Bambino"
Cuando me enamoro - Enrique Iglesias Featuring Juan Luis Guerra
Yerbatero - Juanes
Niña bonita - Chino y Nacho
Laudano - Elvis Martinez
Mala conducta - Alexis & Fido featuring Franco El Gorila
La vida es así - Ivy Queen
Stand by Me - Prince Royce
Te siento - Wisin & Yandel
Loco - Jowell & Randy
El malo - Aventura
Cafecito - Carlos Y Alejandra
Mi amor es pobre - Tony Dize featuring Ken-Y & Arcangel
Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) - Shakira Featuring Freshlyground
Quiere pa' que te quieran - Dyland Y Lenny
No me lloren - Hector Acosta
Abrázame amor - Luis Miguel del Amargue

As you can see there are hardly any salsa tunes. Also, there are hardly any surprises! Same names from the same labels. This is the reality of the music industry!

The first re-broadcast just started!

My first time listening. I love it!

Thank you very much, Fantasma! I thought that they were going to air 3 of my shows. They only aired 2 though. My shows ended at 10pm. However, Hard Salsa Radio always has good programming so I recommend that you continue to listen.

If anyone is wondering what happened to today's Hard Salsa Radio re-broadcast of our Thursday show, we regret to inform you that Hard Salsa Radio's server what hit hard with a virus. We were told that it will be a few days before regular programming picks up again. What you will hear now is music that was set up on a back up server for this very reason.

Hopefully, we will be able to air our Sunday re-broadcast next week.
