Anyone else going to this one besides me and owldancer? It will be my first time going to the Prague marathon, really excited :)

I will get there on Wednesday, so will do some sightseeing on Wednesday and Thursday, then will go to the preparty on Thursday. Will also go to the after-party on Monday, then heading to Berlin Tuesday morning :)

Hmm unfortunatelly no, i will not be there - to much linea and probably not so much casino. But enjoy the event, our beautifull city and take care :)

I plan on going, registered during the May edition, will see how life pans out and if I can make it though.

.

What happens if you can't make it? Do you lose your registration money or you can transfer? I hear not everyone gets in because there is a lot more demand.

Not sure. The last editions I attended allowed you to transfer your registration to the next edition. There was no option for selling your pass to somebody else, which considering the registration process makes sense. Though, this time I registered and paid in advance during the May event, so it might be a bit more complicated with rebooking, don't know.

Yeah and that is the point - if the registrant is going to be absent the food and the space is still there and can't be cancelled. If I was organizer it wouldn't make sense to let that food and space go waste. I would put the onus on the registrant to find his/her replacement after a certain cutoff date. If not, maintain a waitlist or let person canceling forfeit the fees paid. Allowing transfer it to a next event is workable if I am sure to find a replacement. Otherwise I am losing money , the food and space is wasted.

In Berlin they only managed to get 180 people in place of their targeted 250. Someone I knew registered only a day before the start. They made an exception because they had space.
