Re. dinners, I'm not sure if I'll be able to join you on Thursday... I won't know till the day.

Definitely count me in for Saturday.
 
After doing Maria Torres classes 3 -7pm AND a bonus street shine and pattern demo with a lovely young lady. I then proceeded to walk around lost in NYC for 4 hours............I mean I explored. This is one night after 35 hours travelling to get here...

I think I could write a movie script or book from the one night's adventures. So do please save me some dances and love when we catch up everyone!

* will make up for it at Taj and Eddie Torres class tomorrow night. See you there if anyone is keen!

Won't be doing dinner with you guys as I arrive early Friday morning but I look forward to seeing you all in the evening at the shows and/or the social dancing. :-)

We have a dinner on Saturday too, at 7:30 (so before the shows), location TBD.
 
Thursday dinner update :) (black = coming, blue = maybe)

We have a reservation for 10 for Thursday at the moment, I will need to change it to 9 if no one else confirms by tomorrow.

I wasn't aware she was since I have not heard anything about that from her. I asked on the forum a few weeks ago if she was planning anything and there was no response. So I assume she knows who is coming on Saturday etc., so I will stop worrying about it and asking people.

Gosh can we avoid confusion and 'waiting for godot' please. We can have only one captain for the ship.We had multiple instances in the past of dinner plans fizzling out (partly due to lack of proper information in advance). If Lolita is not actively coordinating, believe me it will all end up in the mess. It is good to give people an idea in advance what to expect. Fri/Sat is too late to do so.
 
Well, so far we never had any problem with our dinner plans..she is actively coordinating i think rsrs dont be desperate, theres plenty of time..let me know your room number as soon as u arrive at hiltons..she may have smiling number , better send yours too.

Are u going to iguanas? You and smiling..need to settle plans, theres a friend from brasil who is kind of lost and want to meet me.
 
I don't know what everyone's plans are for Thursday after the dinner, but DJ Alejandro Bouza will be spinning at Cache. He usually plays very good music. I was planning to stay in (packing for the move likely still not done by then due to a "surprise" project at work that will make my last 3 days pretty busy) but this changes my plans. :)
 
Lol, I should clarify: according to the schedule there is a band playing at the congress from 10:30 until 1 am, Boricua Legends (with a 30 minute break). I am not a fan of their music so was not planning to go until after 1 am. So plan could be Cache until 1 and then congress. Just giving people a heads-up and options.

Wish I could attend dinner and the evening festivities, and to spend time with the SF crew... my schedule is so tight at the moment, I will be lucky to get a day of workshops in, which I still haven't scheduled as yet.

But I'd like to start coming into the city on a regular basis for dancing at Cache, so hopefully making a wee piece of the congress will be just the start of some NYC fun. :D
