Nickname Change

How would one change their nickname on this forum? I want to change it to "aro". It's not taken

Sorry, but it is against our policies to allow this because of the potential confusion regarding existing threads and posts where you have been responded to by name, etc. (The only exceptions we make are when someone's name is inappropriate to begin with, or if safety becomes an issue, e.g. in the case of a stalker.)

This policy has only been in effect since the change over to the new website about a year ago then (or whenever the change over was).

You used to be able to. The Bear did.

So? The guidelines get updated to reflect current circumstances, and so too do our policies. This policy was put in place for a reason.

Maybe the admins can rename this username then disable / delete it.
