New York 2013 Salsa Dura Festival--First Edition (July 5-7, 2013)

Now that the details are available, this looks like it will be a very nice event. A few of the workshops promise to be outstanding: cha-cha shines with Freddy Rios (Palladium Mambo Legends), pachanga with Delille Thomas, body movement with Sekou McMiller.

The website says the hotel is sold out so it sounds like there will be a big out-of-town turnout.

I tried to go but unfortunately july is vacation month here and tickets are extremely expensive..but glad the djs are good..love antonio la conga, he's the best for me..i wish he played at NY salsa congress..

This sounds good to me. I thought he was in Florida. He told me last year that he wasn't in New York that often.

Yes, I was tempted, but it's a bad time to go: Airfair is high, and there are fun things to do at home.

I wish they'd have it in spring like the 'Big Apple Festival' a couple years ago.
