My salsa in Japan Youtube Channel

While I see many Youtube videos of performances, lessons, and tutorials, I don't see many people who just vlog about their own dance scenes, travels, and personal dance experiences, so I wanted to do that!

My main focus is about salsa and latin dance in Tokyo, where I have been living for the past 10 years, and I occasionally (once a year, starting last year) travel to NYC and vlog about dancing there. I'd love to travel more in the future, but I'm not sure if that'll happen...

Anyway, please check out my Youtube channel and subscribe if you'd like, and also if you have/know of a similar kind of vlog, I would love to see it! :D

I just peeped a video with rueda. What is your preferred style? Mine is cuban but I am in a linear dominated scene. So my goal, which I'm failing at, is to have a more masculine cuban aesthetic, even when dancing linear.

I prefer linear, just because I know it better, but honestly I love all kinds of salsa. I’m just not as familiar with Cuban yet. Rueda is super fun, I want to learn it better. My main dance studio is mainly on 1 and 2 linear, but they sometimes throw in a bit of Cuban and rueda. I’ve learned most of what I know of Cuban from socials.

The TL;DR: I look forward to watching more videos.
Once upon a time I tried to force myself to learn on 2 (the et2 timing), convincing myself that it was the only way ro be considered advanced and it was the next logical.step, but I don't find it any more musical, and I don't think it fits my personality.
I'm am very vanilla in my move set on2 , as I gravitate to the horn hits, shenanigans and such, which I find suits me better on 1.
Amd the more I delve into cuban, the more I find that you can throw in cross steps and contra tiempo feel and Some of the reparto and afrocuban inspired steps and cadences are challenging and fun, and they compliment on1 perfectly.
Ffw too many years, and I still consider myself beginner improver (until I can control what my basic step looks like) and I only take on 2 classes to learn combos that they don't teach on 1.
I can't wait to see more vids on your channel.

I notice that the bachata dips, head rolls and cambre haven’t reached Tokyo yet. Quite a few body rolls and quite acrobatic.
