Moving to NYC: any neighborhoods "especially strong" for salsa dancing?

I know NYC is legendary overall, but to be honest I don't know the breakdown within NYC (for both studios and socials). Yamulee is in the Bronx, Adolpho's midtown, but other than that I don't know the actual lay of the land. For what it's worth I'm looking to be within commuting distance of West Harlem (where I'll be working) so that is one constraint.

(Outside of COVID), MOST of the big events are held around 6-8th Ave 28th-36th. You have Jimmy Anton's (at Stepping out studios) which is always popular. You have LVG at Ripley Greer (500 location?). A couple of other socials in that area. Brooklyn has a few but quite the hike from your area. Then you have studios that held socials (Nieves and a few others I forget). You have a few restaurants that hold events (Taj, Yayo). Copa Cabana is touted for having Salsa but not my scene (area is too touristy as well).

Pier 42 used to hold Salsa socials. Industry City (Brooklyn) may have opened up (usually do socials in "garden" 2 (outdoor).
