Most exciting dancers (Europe)

It's been a while since i've seen a thread talking about the most exciting dancers currently active in the salsa scene. The people that elevate the salsa festival experience. For me it's all about great social dancers with wonderful attitude.

Due to my location I'd like to focus on the international scene here in Europe. To name a few of my favourite dancers in no particular order:

Ekatarina from Lisbon

Lisa from Vienna

Katja from Ljubljana & Catt from Lisbon (2 for 1 special)

Jeffrey from Amsterdam, he's ridiculously smooth

Federica from Milan, she got one hell of a pedigree. Every move she does looks easy and natural.

Please post your own favourite or most inspiring dancers!

Have you danced with them all? I've only danced with 2 of them.

Heard good things about Catt. If I ever see her in person, I'll ask for a dance.

Ekatarina from Lisbon
Had a lot of fun dances with her at one festival.
Lisa from Vienna
She is good but hard to get hold off. Always in demand. Only a couple of dances. I didn’t know she was from Vienna unless I am mixing her up with someone else.
Katja from Ljubljana & Catt from Lisbon (2 for 1 special)
Catt looks vaguely familiar. I probably haven’t dance with her.

Katja can dance with any leader, any style. She is fabulous and one of the best social dancers.

Can’t recognize. But I had a number of good dances with Milan followers who were principal dancers on teams there.

In Europe alone I could list 20 or more followers and it would be hard to choose between them. Only Martina, Katja and Diana stand apart from the crowd due to their versatility as a social follower.

If I go by memory from Moscow and SPB alone I could add about a dozen followers, about half a dozen to dozen each from London/UK and Poland, half a dozen from Paris, Bucharest/Romania, a few each from Germany, Ljubljana, Budapest, Belarus, Kiev, Rostov, etc. Not including non-Europeans visitors at festivals.

It has been four years since I last danced in Europe. So my list is old.

Yeah, I've danced with all of was a regular in the festival/narathon circuit for a bit. Also been dancing for a couple of years now. Only Jeffrey I haven't danced with, but i did tell him he's ridiculously smooth.

There's no way a complete list could be compiled. My top dance partner changes in time and availability. In London for example, a bunch of great yet anonymous dancers are just walking around. Great up and comers, others been dancing 20+ years.
I even forgot about Sophia Safran and some of the EuphoriaDC dancers

Martina is great too, I've had a hard time catching a damce with her though... The connections are so personal/individual.

I don't think i know Diana? Do you have a link to one of her video's or socials?

Exactly. Even compiling a 25% of the list is hard :). You can only group them into certain categories but that doesn’t mean dancing with a partner in one category is any less fun or fulfilling than dancing with one in another.

Also how do you categorize? That itself is an another verb diagram :) You could go by anonymous vs known, or creative vs classic or experienced vs new, and so on.

In many scenes (mostly bigger ones) there are very good dancers. Some don’t travel at all. Some aren’t regulars in the local scene.

This is so very true. You have to be seen. If you don’t put yourself out you can’t be seen. Not everyone can travel. The European festival circuit is similar to large regular and popular socials. The more you are able to attend the more connections get build.

@Chris_Yannick post above.

I'm guessing he means Diana Mironidis. There are many video of her on every platform when running a search.
Oh yeah! She's one hell of a vibe as well. When you can feel the music together she's one of the best as well. Seen her a bit less on the festivals, though. I think she leans towards marathons whereas I've been leaning towards festivals the past few years.
