Los Van Van & Havana d'Primera May 30 Frankfurt DE

I arrive at the Frankfurt train station May 30 at 7:30pm. Walk half a block to my hotel to drop off my stuff. Get a snack and walk around the corner to Chango. How perfect is that ?

HdP is da bomb!! I had wondered why everyone raves about them so now I saw them live and now I know. Wheeeewwww!!! Seriously though. Alexander Abreu is a very big guy. One of these days he is going to destroy a stage - all that energy demands reinforced concrete.

Los Van Van featured a lot of retrospective songs as this is the 1st tour after Juan Formell's passing. Singers Lele, Yeni, Mandy Cantero and Roberton alternated and they included a medley of songs from the 70s (all of which I know). Highlight of LVV show from about 1am-3am was that I got so close to the stage, I was literally 5 feet from Lele and Yeni at stage left.
