Looking for resources to learn and practice footwork for leads

Hi,

I've sent a couple of emails to the owners of the salsaisgood.com site with no response. I'm wondering if any of you own any of their DVDs can answer my question. And, yes, I'm not thrilled to do business with a company that doesn't answer my inquiries so if you can recommend another resource I'm happy to consider it as well.

Here's the email I sent them.

"I'm a new salsa dancer who would like to learn the footwork for On1. Looking at your various samples, the footwork is really fast. Is there slow motion and, if so, does the slow motion go in a continuous loop so I can practice slowly for a long time? And, do all of your DVDs include slow motion loops?"

If it matters, I'm a lead.

Thanks very much.

I have a few of their videos. One dvd has the loop you're referring to, it's the chacha to salsa one. It's for learning timing, so basic foot work not partner work. I've never seen figures done in a loop in a video, and don't think it's practical. And even for basic foot work loop feature is not really practical. What stage of the game are you at?

Why not just check out Addicted2Salsa? Everything is broken down into easy pieces and done slowly. You can see on1 and on2 to boot.
