Journeyman fans, anyone?

The main character is getting sent back in time seemingly randomly because he's supposed to do something that will affect the future. (i.e. save someone because his son does something in the future)

They're being pretty mysterious about the "why" so far.
 
It's basically a lot like Quantum Leap but with a bit of something else (someone on another board suggested The Dead Zone) thrown in. I like the lead actor as I recognize him from Trainspotting and Dog Soldiers. Oh and he was also on this little show called "Rome" on HBO which I never caught but heard was quite good. ;)
 
Quite a while ago there was a PC game called the "Journeyman Project" that involved time-travel. I wonder if this show has any relation.
