For those of like myself that had been hoping that Emusica or Codiga would re-release this album someday, today is your lucky day.

Cruising around eMusic and there it was, Javier Vazquez's La Verdad album is now available for download. :)

No sign of a CD release, though.

COOL! Thanks for the lead, now I can finally download Sigeulo! How is eMusic by the way, is it any good? Is it just like iTunes and Amazon?

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Lots of people having been waiting for this one :D

It's seems to be on Fania, so I will get it from there tonight. Roll on 4 o'clock!

I think download option will be soon the most requested way to buy music and video. Future is here and it came to stay.

In order to wisely make profits in "slow" selling classic albums, recording companies will offer them as the only choice to get it.

In some way this is great news because this bring the possibility to have a wider catalog available with no fears of creating a slow moving inventory.

This may bring a way to get what was already available in the 90's plus new remasterings of hard-to-find first time digitally offerings.

The only thing I may miss in all this are the original artwork, the liner notes and additional info that already were available on CD's.

Coldsalsero, I've been using Emusic for a few years now. When I first joined they had a better selection of classic salsa than iTunes, and Amazon wasn't even selling songs yet. Granted there are some albums that aren't available on one or the other, selection is about the same now a days. Some albums show up on iTunes first though. The new albums from Marco Torro, Son De Tikezia, La Excellencia come to mind.

As far as price per track goes, Emusic still wins. With my plan I'm paying about $0.40 per track.

My biggest gripe with Emusic is there search function isn't all that great.

Totally agree with you. For the most part I'm fine with just downloading the songs. Especially since I can choose exactly what songs I want.

On the other hand there are some albums that I love so much I would also buy the CD. This album being one of them.

That is good news for hardcore salsa collectors. I hope the CD is released soon as well. I have it and it is fantastic, and I believe there are a lot of collectors out there that would pay for it.

Speaking of "CD quality". I noticed you can get FLAC or WAV of this release from fania.com. I wish more places would start selling lossless digital!
