Is Salsaforums accessible via Thunderbird/News readers?

Just wondering as I'm rubbish at following threads - sometimes missing posts by 2 weeks and more so it would be helpful to use the features included in these programs. Might try the email notification feature again but it would be nice to avoid logging into junk... I mean 'hot'mail.

Thanks

I don't think you'll have much luck there. NNTP (the news protocol that thunderbird speaks) is pretty much a dinosaur by now.

You could set up a new email account and use email notification. Add that account to thunderbird and use rules or the threaded view to try to tame the output. I did something similar with freecycle, had a rule that threw away everything not containing key words of items I was interested in.

Ah well. Looks like it's time to start making use that 'no junkmail' hotmail account that has been gathering ebay adverts for almost a year. Thanks sweavo. :)

Thanks for the link.

Quote from the FAQ on their site:
This sounds pretty insecure, what if I want send important emails with sensitive super-secret information in them to Mailinator?

Then you are a stupid-head. That isn't what this is for.
LOL, well ain't that the truth.

Yes, well there are many stupid-heads :)

When requested for your trashmail address you can enter flujo(at)mailinator.com at the spam site and then check it by typing http(://)flujo.mailinator.com.

What's impressive is that this site is run by a single, not-so-advanced, PC, I read that in his blog sometime.
