International All-Star Salsa Cruise? Anyone going?

Hi all
I have been invited to this:

It starts in Barcelona and goes round the Med.

I have never been on a cruise before but I am thinking of going..I only know one person going at the moment.

Anyone know much about this event or would recommend a salsa cruise?
 
I don't have any experience with this one, but I know that Jolinia has been on the one last year and I think GuyDC as well. So I would suggest to wait some days more to see if they respond and if not, just PM them about their experience.
 
Its one of the best holidays/Salsa events I've ever been to. It was a combination of relaxation and exhiliration for me.

I worked on the staff, and there were some not so good glitches with organization. However, this was the first time the cruise was held outside of the U.S. and some of the other staff, as well as foreign travel agents, let us down with their responsibilities. By the time the cruise ended though, everyone I know was more than satisfied. ;)

I believe this year will be da shiznit. :rocker:
 
I went last year, and I had the time of my life!!

Yeah, there were some organizational issues, but they are all forgotten. All I remember are the great people, wonderful dances, fun, great workshops, more wonderful dances, philosophical conversations at 4 am, and so much more!

If I were in Europe this year, I'd definitely go again. But well, it's not possible for me to go this year.
 
Sooooooo.....is anyone from here going to attend the cruise this year? And, does anyone know of any nice and cheap places to stay in Barcelona?
 
This sounds like a DREAM cruise since everyone there will enjoy salsa so there will be lots of good performances, music, handsome guys, pretty girls and lots of new dance moves I can learn! Hmm, perhaps I should ask for some vacation time .......

Except that the cruise already sold out at the beginning of April. You'll know need to book a normal cabin for the cruise and make an additional deposit to join the all star cruise activities.

No, but Jolinia and GuyDC have been before and both are raving about it. I would have loved to go this year, but it seems I won't get a chance to travel to any events until the second half of this year. :(
