Not much of a detailed history but more of a brief summary of the one time Fania subsidiary: Inca Records: A History Of The Puerto Rican Salsa Label

Note: This is the original Cheetah discotheque that was on the South West corner of West 53rd Street & Broadway, which opened in 1966. It was right next door to the Palladium ballroom, who were in the midst of closing its doors that year, as their 20 year lease was set to expire. In 1968 the owners relocated to 315 West 52nd Street, the site of the old Palm Gardens ballroom. It is at this latter location, which got sold to "dance promoter" Ralph Mercado, where the Fania All-Stars held the "Our Latin Thing" concert in 1971.
