Hiya :)

my name is Triinu, I'm Estonian but will soon be moving to Manchester (middle of August). Been into Cuban style salsa for the past 8 years and want to keep it up and learn more - am looking for classes, where to find the local Cuban salsa aficionados/as, etc. I'm also interested in the Cuban rumba (yambu, guaguanco...) lessons - are there any classes?

Dance, Cuban music and Spanish have become more than my lifestyle during the past years, I'd really like to keep myself immersed in it all during my time in the UK. As the options for dancing salsa in Estonia have been rather limited (been travelling for salsa quite a bit, in order to keep on learning), I am very excited about the new prospects, encounters and experience to be had

Should you be able to help me out with a few tips, it would be very-very highly appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I am already established in London, and have already been to a couple of places. Tonight I will be going to Great Portland street for the Salsa Fusion party. Last week I was in the City for a wonderful party hosted by Mambo city, and I "spoiled" there, because you had just DJ Julian the Duke playing...
I noticed the level here is very high, I mean, most dancers were advanced, I am used to a scene where there a few advanced, but the staple dancers are beginners/intermediate. At first was scary, but then I realized this is actually good for my personal evolution. And the good thing is that most followers are friendly, and women invite much more than in my native Portugal.
 
Anyone from the East Coast? I'm in NJ.

Peach and Miami Rueda Dancer - My husband and I went to Miami for our honeymoon..we spent one day in Orlando while we were there. Just thought I'd share that with you two :)
 
Talk about nice honeymoon's and vacations. :) How long ago, Mistress Mambo? Can't believe I've never been to NJ. I have a sister there. :) Hopefully in the next year, I'll be able to come further North, especially at Christmas time. (Too hot in Florida) Next time you come this way, let us know. :)

This was in March 04. We mainly stood at Miami Beach but went to Universal Studios in Orlando for 1 day. You should visit NJ one day... maybe we can meet up.. ;) We speak about going to Miami and/or Orlando again -- maybe next year! Will let you know.

I'm in Pasadena, California, right outside of Los Angeles. I'm pretty sure I've encountered some of you at a Salsa club somewhere....
