I really enjoyed this interview with the great Herman Olivera... and I'm learning some new things as well about music.
Herman talks about his roots in Newark, New Jersey, joining Conjunto Libre, his exposure to many great traditional Cuban singers, Palmieri, his daily study and maintenance of his craft, and solo career...
and towards the end of the interview he breaks down what it truly is to be a Sonero ,and what that word really means. Awesome. Never heard anyone break it down quite like that.
