I just ordered the Frankie Martinez body isolations video and can't wait to get started on it, but I do not think it deal with arms.

Now to start, I live in Minneapolis, MN. There are not many great salsa dancers and instructors (my salsa instructor is incredible but she is female and doesn't know many male arms tricks) like in NY or CA or IL, so I relie on videos to learn the things that people from these place learn in studios and other place.

Anyway there is this great dancers here from Chicago that I love his style. I noticed that what seperates him from most of the dancers is his arms. He does arm isolations and different arm movements in general.

So does anyone know of any videos that deal with arm movements?

Thank you for all the help and for taking time to read this, PWSMILES

if you are trying to get Frankies style then I would use his isolations video, his arms generally are an extension of the movements of his shoulders, chess and body in general. One tip he gave us :) when applicable, pretend you are sort of going to grip a bottle of wine, but with your thumbs down,

so drop your hands to your sides, make sure your hands are in such a way, your thumbs are pointing down, now grip nicely and slowly :) play with it , do it with the beat, incorporate it to movements, keep it smooth

Al Liquid Silver has a hand shines dvd, but his style is quite a ways different from Frankie, he is very hip hop oriented. he is a great dancer

Hi, I am also looking for a dvd that would explain salsa hand and arm movements in detail. I would especially like something that focuses on the afrocuban movements. I know this video: Rumba for Mambo dancers or something like that. Concerning that Frankie Martinez video... does he have more or just one? Its a great video, but it takes time, the movements are quite difficult and he does not explain it, he just shows it. So, if you knew about any video that focuses on afrocuban movements (I am still looking for some good instructional videos Son too), please share it ;)

Wild One, not sure about the reason for the lack of explaining but if you do the movements it he video enough, your body will start to change and adapt to the movements and develops itso wn movements based on whats being shown in the video, i think thats the goal, to not so much look exactly like Frankie but o have you body find its own movement through this set of drills etc...Good Luck
