I know many people don't like covers, but i tried to create a different sound using guitars and sinth and singing in a "pop" way.

listen to this and give me your opinion.

thank you.

(George Michael)

(Police)

(it is only an experiment i did after many years playing portorican and cuban salsa..)

I think they're well made technically, production, sound quality, everything very good. I don't like the vibraphone melody which replaces the saxophone in careless whisper. The song itself is like THE cliche love romantic song and with that voice and salsa romantica it's like super cheese.
But the other one has some nice breaks. The timba drums give the song an interesting twist, I could live without the solo of the dated synth. Maybe it could sound slower and less crazy? but maybe the solo just not love at first sight and good like it is. I could think of spinning that one at an early stage of a party night.

Wow, those are two of my favorite songs to begin with, and "Every Little Thing" seems like a song that's just begging to be salsafied. I hope you start another competition, similar to the one that spawned a thousand versions of Sting's other hit, "Fragile." (Many of the salsafied versions are titled Fragilidad.)

I've purchased half a dozen versions of Fragilidad but gave up trying to track down my favorite, which Edie The Salsa Freak played in her class. She told me someone gave it to her, and she didn't know the name of the artist or album.

That said, I'd like to purchase both of your songs, if they're available.

I think my favorite salsafied song is probably "Autumn Leaves" (Francisco Aguabella), which I discovered just recently. But your version of "Every Little Thing" would probably rank close behind it for me.
